Design Tab is missing from the content page!!!!
Hi all,

In my website when I go to the edit page only 3 tabs are showing (Page, Form, Properties) the Design tab is missing , I don't know how to solve this. I want to add media gallery in on page but I don't know how to add the webpart since the design tab is missing I am not able to see the link to add Web Part. Please help me to solve this as I am new to the kentico.. This is very urgent...

RE:Design Tab is missing from the content page!!!!
Hello.

I suppose that most likely explanation is that you are using ASPX Templates development model, not Portal engine. Design tab is available in Portal engine only, if using ASPX Templates, you need to edit your aspx pages in Visual Studio and need to register appropriate web part on your page. Or you can create a new site using Portal engine development model.

Hi Sansugoi,

you may use only one approach - Portal engine or ASPX templates. Please see here: http://devnet.kentico.com/docs/devguide/portal_templates_vs_aspx_templates.htm to know more about differences.

The sample Corporate site is Portal engine and Corporate site ASPX is ASPX templates. It is not possible to change the mode if the site is already created.

The Tutorial for Portal engine is here: http://devnet.kentico.com/downloads/KenticoCMS_Tutorial.pdf
