Adding a site via New Site Wizzard

I am a newbe trying to follow the (excellent) Tutorial.
I installed KenticoCMS on the separate Intranet server as a virtual directory, it created the database on the SQL server. The manual only talks about IIS on the user computer, building the MySite on localhost:127.0.0.1, which I did - but when I tried to build the Mysite2 website on the same Intranet server (so that other people could see it) it said something about another website already running. What I want is to have the Mysite2 running from another virtual directory on the same Intranet server so that I could build another site while users use the older version but using the same database.
Can this be done?
