Portal VS ASPX for sharepoint

Hi There,
Ive been tasked with developing a Kentico site that will eventually be hooked up to Sharepoint on some pages. My job is to just create the Visual side of the site. Ive been given an install of Kentico with the ASPX template running... but after research I see that the Portal might be a lot handier for someone like me? However... my client wants to be able to do some programming on the site afterwords / hooking up to share point etc. Would they face any problems if I created the site taking the Portal route?

Hello,

We always recommend using Portal Engine instead of ASPX templates approach for its ease of use. Actually, with Portal Engine you are still able to control the code behind of webparts (if needed), so there shouldn't be any problem, especially with SharePoint connector.
