Saving doesn't work: "The page is not fully loaded, please wait until it loads"
I have a problem on one of our site. I still can't figure what is the cause after a few hours of messing with it/research.

My client told us recently that she has a problem saving so I've tried it on Firefox, IE and Chrome and was able to reproduce this error: when I save, the message "The page is not fully loaded, please wait until it loads" appears and when I close it, the toolbar disappear, preventing any further changes. Though it only works only on IE... I've tried on most content and all does this on FF and Chrome.

I have absolutely no idea what could be the cause of it and what was the trigger. Any idea what could be the cause of it? There were no modifications (except for content) during these 4 years. While we didn't work on the site (about 4 years old), we need to fix this bug.

There doesn't seem to be any javascript error or such.

Hello Nathalie,

Which exact 4.x version are you using?
Were there any hotfixes applied?

Does Event log show any errors or warnings?

This usually happens when the page scripts are not fully loaded, which would suggest a javascript error... you wrote there's no error, so it's strange..
Are you using any custom scripts?
Would it be possible to see the behavior online?

Another info: seems like she was using IE the 3 last years and this year she upgraded to Chrome, which is why we received her message this year. We will tell her to continue using IE for that particular site for now, but we still need the issue to be fixed.

The site is version 4.1. As for the hotfix, seems like that info is missing in our documentation, so I can't say for sure.

It is quite a simple site. There's only a few mootools libraries with a docready javascript file. However, the problem occurs in the CMSDesk, not on the public site. Maybe there is a conflict with the mootools?

As for the Event Log, there are no log created related to the bug.

I was thinking about a Javascript error too, but they are not detected by any of my tools.

Yes, I can surely send all needed informations but how should I send the support ticket?

You can submit support ticket at www.kentico.com - Support pages, where you can also even record a screencast of the issue (although it's probably not suitable for this particular issue).
Other way is to simply send us an email to support@kentico.com

You can refer to this thread in the email/ ticket submit form.
