First time poster...

I installed the free version of kentico 4.x yesterday on our development server in hopes of using the portal engine to build a site. I followed the instructions fromt he Developers Guide to install it on a remote server. Everything seemed to go fine initially.

When I logged in I created a site using the new site wizard in the web interface. The first time i tried "Create a new site using a wizard".

When I switched from the site manager to the CMS desk, I would see the root of the site, and in the Page tab under the save and spell check button nothing, just "The page cannot be found" 404 error. Same thing under the designs tab.

I then went back to the Site Manager tried to create a site using a web site template and had the same result.

This didn't happen when I installed the trial version on localhost. I was able to view pages and create them.

I am wondering what has gone wrong. Have I installed the product correctly? I checked the security/permissions on the site folders and they appear to be set up as instructed in the Developer Guide.

Any help would be appreciated.
