Custom layout webpart
Hi,

I cloned the membership | registration webpart to create my custom form. When trying to create a new layout for the cloned web part I cannot save the changes. After creating the new layout I have to check out the layout but then the text area in which the code of the layout is presented is read only. So I cannot change the layout. On top of the page some reference is made to a local file in c:\inetpub ... but kentico is on a webserver and I have to develop on a local machine, so accessing the local file is not an option.

Any thoughts?

Hello,

you need to check-out the layout only if you want to edit it in some external editor.

Unfortunately, this seems to be bug in version 4.0 that causes it is not possible to change 'layout code' in SiteManager. I'm very sorry for this inconvenience. We will try to fix it in nearest version. In a meantime you can edit layout in 'CMSDesk -> Content -> Design -> configure web part' section.
