Disabling edit mode on live site
Is there a setting in the configuration where you can disable the edit mode on the live site? When I'm building a site, I have one tab with the CMS desk open, and another with the live site.

It gets pretty annoying when I am working on a page in the CMS desk, then switch over to the Live site and refresh the page to see my changes, where as the "Close the edit mode" dialog appears, which I have to close every time.

RE:Disabling edit mode on live site
You don't need to disable the edit mode anywhere.

One of the best solution for this (recommended by kentico) is
1)Open the CMS desk for development in IE(internet explorer).
2)To view the changes, open the live site in another browser like Firefox mozilla.

Hope this will useful for u......

RE:Disabling edit mode on live site
Hi,

as mentioned in previous post - you need to use another browser or separate instance of the browser. The problem is that the cookies are shared within one browser instance, and if you are logged in one tab, the same authentication cookie is used with edit mode set. We plan to change this in one of the next version.
This problem was also discussed in other threads in our forums.

Best Regards,
Juraj Ondrus
