RE:Emails stuck in email queue with waiting status

We are using version 4.0
I have both the email queue sender and email queue cleaner in my scheduler.
After checking the event log as you suggested I've noticed the following errors for the scheduler:
Event ID: 72870 Event type: Error Event time: 11/13/2009 8:23:40 AM Source: Scheduler Event code: Run IP address: Description: EXCEPTION MESSAGE: The remote name could not be resolved: 'csbp.com.au'; STACK TRACE: at System.Net.WebClient.DownloadDataInternal(Uri address, WebRequest& request) at System.Net.WebClient.DownloadData(Uri address) at CMS.Scheduler.SchedulingHelper.RunSchedulerRequest(String url) Machine name: Event URL:
csbp.com.au is our URL which internally we are having trouble accessing at present due to firewall issues. Could this be the reason the queue isn't being processed?
As an update to this problem, I tried turning off the email queue last night and the emails are sent and received as expected.
