Juraj,
I use the RC version, on Small Business Server 2008
CMS version : 4.0RC Build : 4.0.3303
OS version : Microsoft Windows NT 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1

I cannot change IIS. I do not want to break my SBS production functions.
So I installed the 4.0RC website in the same website space where my 3.1 website is running. 3.1 is running fine in that space.

Application 4.0RC causes the parser problem if it is published.
In VS2008 and the built in webserver the application runs fine..

Scenario:
Start VS2008, then publish the website with option Allow this precompiled site to be updatable.
Start the website in IE - no problems.
Then CMSDesk/Edit Properties gives the error.

Hi Eric,

You did not mention that you are using pre-compiled web. Moreover, as it is mentioned here - http://www.kentico.com/docs/devguide/pre_compilation_publishing.htm, it is not recommended to allow the web site to be updatable to avoid this kind of problems you have and also for better performance.

Hi Juraj,
Yes, I prepeared my application for deployment as in the dev guide.
In my 3.1 application I also use publish without problems.
Also the symptoms in the dev guide are completely different from what I have described.

I suggest we will close this item and wait until the release version.
