Basic Question. Kentico v4.1.

When creating a new account on sign up, what does the check box "company account" do for my company, my users?

Hello,

It works only for E-commerce module. You may filter/sort according the company in CMSDesk -> Tools -> E-commerce -> Customers

You may use the field in e-mails, invoices or when you process data from database (i.e. Reporting module). The Shipping/Billing address can contain the company name instead of customer name.

There are not any other special functionalities.
