Adding fields to a document type
I just noticed that when i add a field to an existing document type, it tries to add that field to the database table however i do not see a way to add a field that has already been added to the table for an existing item(it jut errors out saying it is already there). Is there a way to add a field to an existing document type when the database field already exists in the database?

This also goes or document types themselves, so that if i already have the table built, I would technically need to delete it and then build from with the CMS. Is there any way to build a document type from and existing table?

you could use SQL Import utility. Please see here: http://devnet.kentico.com/docs/devguide/how_to_use_the_sql_import_util.htm for more details.
