Changing default visitor culture
Hi!

I currently have a multi-language site built on Kentico 3.1a.

The initial default language was set to English-US. How do I change the default language to say, Thai-Thailand ?

I've already done the following steps but is still being shown English-US despite clearing browser cookies/cache as well as Kentico cache.

At Site Manager > site >
- Default Content Culture > changed to Thai-Thailand, and selected "change the content culture of existing documents"
- Default Visitor Culture > changed to Thai-Thailand

Please advise.

Thanks,
Shuyun

RE:Changing default visitor culture
Hello.

Could you please go to Site Manager -> Settings -> (select site or leave global) -> Web Site and set "Default culture of the content" property to requested culture code? Thank you.

Best Regards,

Hi,

the settings had already been set before I made those changes in my first post.

Is there anything that I might have missed out?

Thanks,
Shuyun

RE:Changing default visitor culture
Hi!

Just a note to say that I've managed to fix it.

I happen to have a document alias index, with document url alias /home on the en-US, and alias /home-2 on th-TH.

All I did was to remove the document alias /home for en-US, and changed document alise /home-2 to /home on th-TH.

Although technically I'm not very sure why I need to set this, but I hope this might help those who might face the same problem.

Thanks,
Shuyun

RE:Changing default visitor culture
Hi,

It could be caused by the Default Alias Path which is set in:

CMSSiteManager -> Settings -> Site: <your site> -> Web Site -> Default Alias Path

It is the alias path of the default page.
