Email - how to debug?

(Sorry for the many posts today - just trying to implement a variety of things :))

I've set up a new Biz Form - which I want to send an email. I fill in the form and never receive an email. I've set up an auto confirmation to send to the person - as well as setting the email to on the bizform.

There doesn't appear to be any errors - but I don't get the auto confirmation email nor the form filled details email.

I have set up the smtp server details under Settings and E-mails. I have also generated a test email using Site Manager, Administration, Email - and received that no problems.

Actually just noticed the clear cache button. I am now receiving the form details - however am not receiving the Notification email (based on using the email field that the user filled in as part of the form). Is there any way to figure out whats going wrong here ?

Hi,

Are all e-mail address you are testing, even that one you entered for the form valid? I have experienced some problem when I used some addresses like asd@asd.asd - it took hours and hours to receive the message. Then I used address which was valid or at least the domain, and then the messages were delivered fine. Maybe there is some SMTP setting for this.

Member	polarwarp-gmail - 2/5/2009 6:52:04 PM RE:Email - how to debug? Hi, All the email addresses I was testing were valid - I was using my gmail and hotmail accounts :) The emails were never received.. so I'll just hope it was an internal mail thing or something.
