Calculating the shipping rate with e-commerce
I am using 1.9/.Net2.0/C#. Is it possible to change the shipping rate from static to dynamic so that the shipping rate can be calculated by weight? If so, can you point me in the right direction to make the switch? I am hoping there is a way to do that instead of upgrading to 2.0 (that is, if 2.0 offers the feature).

Unfortunately, this is not supported in 1.9, it will be supported in 2.1.

Ok, thanks. Would it be possible with 1.9 to integrate a third-party application/component such as UPS's online tools?

Generally yes, but you would be able to do that only by modifying the source code of the appropriate libraries.
