Top 10 Kentico Websites for June 2013

   —
Let’s take a tour of the excellent Kentico websites reported by our partners and clients in June. We are impressed by the quality of sites and well-known brands that currently use Kentico CMS as their platform of choice – Red Cross, ING and Martini, to name just a few… enjoy!
The Canadian Red Cross is part of an international humanitarian network dedicated to improving the situation of the most vulnerable throughout the world. The Canadian Red Cross’ new corporate website was a team effort. Every program, service and region was consulted and their needs are reflected in the new design, its content, and its functionality. The main goals of the new website were to increase donations, increase course and program registration, recruit volunteers, enhance overall user experience, provide easier access to current information and reflect the Canadian Red Cross’ new branding strategy. Built on Kentico CMS v7, the key features of this site include a custom media library search, a custom 301 redirect tool integrated within Kentico’s UI, and scheduled tasks that pull stories in from external news feeds.

Martini needed a site that provided an upscale experiential interface, but did not want to sacrifice responsive behavior or the capability for their markets to translate the site to their specific region. To achieve this, BlueModus leveraged Kentico as the Web platform. Working with a UK-based design agency (Exposure), the website takes users through the Martini products and drinks, using an HTML5 approach to display products with lighting effects to highlight the imagery provided in these sections. There is also a 'Heritage' feature that takes users through a timeline experience of the 150+ year history of the Martini brand. The site function transforms for the mobile experience, offing full site content to mobile users on Android and IoS platforms.

Cedar Court Hotels is Yorkshire's largest independent hotelier, with four four-star properties in locations across Yorkshire and the Cedar Court Grand Hotel & Spa which is York's first ever five-star hotel. Cedar Court wanted a responsive site which still encompassed strong imagery and a clean design, whilst being easy to manage for the different hotels. They selected Kentico CMS due to its ease of use but also because of the option to bolt on the EMS later, which is a fantastic marketing tool for a busy, independent hotel chain.

The Australian Institute of Music is Australia’s leading tertiary college for musicians. The objective for the project was to integrate their strong social media presence into the website to help attract new students and engage with existing ones. The site was developed on Kentico Ultimate and has been customised to meet their content management requirements. This included extending the tagging system to allow AIM to prioritise and assign content widgets to related pages. The site is also responsive for desktops above 1024 to make the most of the high resolution images used in the design.

The Dewar's brand team wanted to provide markets the ability to have separate and custom sites within their region. To support their market initiatives, they wanted to create a visual navigation that leveraged some of the high definition imagery and video content that was to be featured alongside offline promotions that the brand would highlight in 2013. BlueModus worked with UK-based firm (Mr. President) to consult on an approach that fit the agency's vision for the site using an 'isotope.js' based navigation that harnessed the power of the Kentico platform to make the dynamic content manageable, and within individual markets and regions for the Dewar's brand. The site is responsive, mobile friendly, and the Kentico infrastructure allows markets to quickly deploy initiatives or customize the content and features to fit the needs of their regional efforts.

Motorcycle Spare Parts (MSP) is a leading supplier of motorcycle spare parts operating from the Netherlands. The solution connects a visual catalog system, an industry-specific back-office and Kentico's content management capabilities, enabling consumers worldwide to order any part they need. Uniquely, the site offers close to two million original spare parts which can easily be selected using MSP's visual search functionality. For each combination of motorcycle brand, type, year and model, detailed drawings (or so-called 'exploded views') can be inspected online before a purchase is made. In addition, unique part numbers are used to help motorcycle owners find the correct part quickly and easily if no drawing is available. As a matter of fact, Kentico's online marketing capabilities are used to create SEO-friendly URL's based on the unique part number for each available part. Not surprisingly, though the site was only recently launched, a growing number of motorcycle enthusiasts is already finding its way to the Web shop.

Hi Camille,
We choose Top10 websites from the list of all projects submitted by our partners or announced by clients in a previous month. However, all projects marked as a non-public reference by a partner (which is the case of Vertbaudet) are considered as non-public and are not included in our selection. If you want to make the website reference public, you can do so through the Partner Portal, Partner Points section or contact me at partners@kentico.com.
Thank you.
