Wesley-Barrell, rooted in Oxfordshire since 1895, are a well-known manufacturer of bespoke sofas and armchairs of the highest quality craftsmanship from their workshops in Oxfordshire. With a 118 year heritage, Wesley-Barrell is a fourth generation family business, with 16 showrooms around the country and a reputation for excellence and longevity of upholstered furniture. Today these traditional upholstery skills continue to underpin the Wesley-Barrell approach to design and production which have created a range of classic English sofas and armchairs which like the company have been built to last.
Built on Kentico CMS v7, the primary goals of the site are to deliver an improved experience for customers, evolving the perception of the brand through aspirational and emotional design appeal. This was accomplished through a truly complete responsive design including a fully responsive ecommerce section with complex product and checkout pages. The responsive design method uses techniques to ensure that retina devices are supported with hi-res images, and low-res optimized images are delivered to mobile. This allows them to capitalize on the high (and ever increasing) visitors utilizing mobile and tablet devices. The ecommerce functionality needed to provide for the full range of diverse products, without compromising the bespoke nature of upholstered sofas and armchairs - each sofa can be customised from a range of over 14,000 fabrics, various sizes, leg options, etc. Ultimately, the site is intended to increase revenue and ROI from online, while providing a solid foundation for growth via personalization and marketing automation in future phases. The ability to integrate with their ERP system (EFACS), providing pricing, stock and product data through Kentico CMS to the website, allows them to fully support the physical bricks-and-mortar stores with a complete quotation system that closes the loop on store customers who also use the web site.

Chula Vista is the most complete family resort in the Wisconsin Dells. With over 200,000 sq ft of indoor and outdoor waterparks and 27 exhilarating waterslides stretching over 1.5 miles long, a world-class spa (Spa del Sol), one of America’s top 10 chophouses (Kaminski Brother’s Chop House), an 18-hole golf course, over 600 guest rooms, villas, and luxurious condominiums for up to 14 people and hundreds of acres with hundreds of activities; they have something for everyone in the family.
Built on Kentico CMS v7, the primary goal of this project was to produce a more up-to-date website that provides better segmentation between the leisure and business content areas. Previously, Chula Vista had the main site and four separate microsites, all of which had different domains and were maintained through different CMS’s.
As part of the redesign project Ascedia consolidated these into one new site, streamlining things and making it easier for Chula Vista to make updates in one place. Simplified navigation was also recommended so the users could find what they were looking for with fewer clicks. Additional goals included directing the user to action items, simplified look and feel, incorporate more images and add social engagement. A mobile version of the website is also currently being produced. By using Kentico, Ascedia was able to provide a better CMS experience for Chula Vista which really allowed them to have more control over managing the site content.
