The GE Virtual Rail Expo is a website mimicking a virtual tradeshow where potential clients can obtain information to make an informed decision on GE rail products.  The design of the website is one where clients can peruse the website and get the feeling that they are at an actual tradeshow. Ariesnet built the site with portal pages and integrated the FlowPlayer video player into the site so that Content Editors can manage videos for product pages at their own convenience.

The redesign, content strategy and structure of the Anglican Diocese of Montreal website focused on approachability and storytelling. Vibrant warm colors, large images of people, large type and graphic elements, make the site welcoming and help connect the user to the very personal stories being told. The bilingual site features a complex “find a priest or parish” function, custom event calendar (standard calendar view with color coding for event types, and a list view with images), as well as blogs and news, and takes advantage of the related links site-wide. The flexible image gallery contributes to putting the human elements within a large faith-based community at the forefront.

A full-screen video playback and video streaming are the key elements of the site. The client requested that the videos were playable on all common browsers, mobile devices and tablets (primarily on iphone / ipad). The videos are stored on a Cloud repository (Amazon CloudFront was chosen). JW Player was integrated allowing videos to be seen on iPhone / iPad devices. Mobile devices are well recognized by a Mobile device redirection webpart and subsequently offered a special content for mobile phones.
