We are happy to showcase another set of great Kentico CMS-based projects; The online presentation of a Best Buy subsidiary, the complete redesign of a local site of the No 1 European travel group, an intranet for a global insurance company, the official tourism site of British Columbia, and many more. Let’s have a look…
Magnolia, a division of Best Buy, needed a new content-managed site to coincide with in-store experiential updates. hawkeye delivered a site that mirrors the feel of the new Magnolia design centers and allows for future growth. TUI.ru, the Russian branch of the European tour leader, decided to make a complete redesign of their site, making it a comfortable tool for searching and buying holidays. The site contains over 50 thousand documents in a content tree and a few million rows of related data stored in the CMS. Performance issues were solved using two very brilliant abilities built in to Kentico CMS without the need for any further development – caching and scaling! Kentico has different caches that allow configuration by maintenance engineers via the standard Kentico console (Site Manager) which has significantly reduced costs of ownership and support.

Ageas wanted its employees to have a centralised place where they could ask questions, receive answers, search for documents and policies and interact with colleagues via forums and message boards – all within the branded and secure environment of an intranet.

Prior to commencing this project, Fáilte Ireland Corporate depended on eleven standalone trade websites to provide visibility and access to the range of Fáilte Ireland services available to the tourism industry in Ireland. In the new Kentico site, it now has one highly flexible and easily manageable solution delivering a single point of service.  The initial phase of work consolidated and decommissioned the main trade satellite sites and required the migration of a range of custom components and business tools from the existing websites to be seamlessly integrated into the new platform and website design. Some extra custom components were also created to meet Fáilte Irelands target audience needs alongside the customisation of Kentico’s smart search.

The Greenbrier site was formerly in the Umbraco platform, which the Greenbrier developers found cumbersome to work with. Terradon Communications Group migrated over 400 pages to the Kentico CMS and utilized widgets on content pages which allow users to easily move formatted content and web parts to any page they desire. Workflow was added to provide all departments the capability of creating updates and making changes before submitting them to the Marketing Department for approval and deployment. During the PGA Classic, the Greenbrier websites were viewed by 500,000+ visitors.

This was a really challenging project for the New-Zealand branch of this world-wide removals company.  Most of Kudos Web’s larger projects are now Responsive Design, and this one was no exception.  In addition, the partner had several complex custom forms and an E-commerce module to create. The client has seen a huge increase in mobile traffic and much longer engagement from all users.
