Kentico+ managed platform is retiring

   —
Kentico’s journey to cloud started over 4 years ago when we became the first certified CMS vendor for Microsoft Azure cloud, as well as one of the first CMS vendors supporting other major cloud providers.

Note: This article only applies to Kentico+ as a managed cloud platform; our flagship product Kentico EMS roadmap and underlying cloud support is not impacted in any way.

Back in 2011, cloud platforms were often too overwhelming for business users to understand, setup, and maintain. There were, however, undeniable advantages of moving customer workloads to the cloud. Therefore, we decided to bring the features and functionality of a fully integrated Customer Experience Management (CXM) system to the masses via a subscription model, making Kentico EMS features more affordable than ever before. Our mission was simple: To create a cost efficient cloud bundled with the feature loaded Kentico EMS and to enable our customers’ leverage potential of the cloud while giving them access to the tools that would help them grow faster with a minimal initial investment. That was how Kentico+ was born.

For the past four years we put blood, sweat, and tears into making Kentico+ the platform of choice for clients of all sizes looking for an easy-to-use, managed service running an all-in-one integrated marketing solution in the cloud. We put countless hours into developing a reliable and scalable service that our clients could count on.

However, we are now living in a new kind of computing environment. Cloud is no longer just a buzzword and it is becoming a new standard in all of our daily lives. Unfortunately, despite the support and use of Kentico+ by many of our faithful customers over the years, we have found that the demand for this type of service has not been as great as we had anticipated. Furthermore, we are not able to keep up with the increasing maintenance costs and while aiming to provide the quality of services you deserve. The opportunities in cloud today are what in two or three years will change how software products are delivered and used. To make the most of these opportunities and to be able to stand as a strong partner to our existing as well as our future customers, we need to focus - otherwise we will spread ourselves too thin and lose sight of our customers’ needs.

Therefore, we regret to inform our customers that as of June 30th, 2015, we are going to discontinue all Kentico+ services. At the same time we will stop providing any form of maintenance and technical support for Kentico+ subscriptions not migrated by this date.

The Kentico+ team appreciates having had the opportunity to serve all our customers during their time with us, and we are grateful for their continued support. Our values were founded on the respect of all Kentico customers, and today is a day we embrace those values.
