Get Started Launched 150th Website Powered by Kentico CMS

   —
By submitting the latest Kentico CMS website, the number of reference projects created by Get Started, our Gold Partner, was rounded to 150.

There are different events, occurencies and anniversaries which are worth a celebration – first salary, 5 years in business, 10 years of marriage, 50th birthday or 100 days at school.

Successful completion of 150 websites on Kentico CMS is a significant milestone in a company life which is worth not only a big party but also retrospecting. This number was reached by a single Kentico Solution Partner, Get Started located in Melbourne, Australia.

When we look behind, we can see almost 4 years of tight cooperation between Kentico and Get Started, our Gold Partner currently listed as #1 among Kentico Partners.

The story started in January 2008 when Get Started decided to choose Kentico CMS after they had researched the market and reviewed most content management systems. There were some great CMS products on the market, though Kentico was the one that met the most of their needs.

A successful launch of the first website powered by Kentico CMS followed shortly after – it was a flowers and fruit seller in Melbourne area, Fruit for you, in April 2008. In early 2009 Get Started registered to become a Kentico implementation partner.

A major moment for Get Started was the launch of the 2009 Victorian Bushfires Royal Commission Interim Report in August 2009. In 2010 they released the Final Report into the 2009 bushfires using Kentico CMS. The website had 20,000 unique visitors in the first hour, who downloaded 100GB of data. By the end of that day, nearly 100,000 unique visitors had been to the website.

Over the years, a lot of great projects on Kentico CMS have been delivered. To mention the most successful ones, these include:

  • Shrine of Remembrance – the site provides a real access to the Shrine in terms of touring the facility, identifying the programs and ultimately interacting with the site.
  • Melbourne Aquarium – Melbourne Aquarium needed a new image and CMS for its web strategy. The results following the project exceeded all expectations.
  • Curtis Stone – Kentico provided increased functionality and stability for Curtis Stone. The customer experience increased, while management of the site was drastically improved.
  • Green and Gold Army - this website is a great example of how to engage technology and a strong user base. The ability to login with a Facebook account and participate in the Forum, has been a big success for the site. Though the major draw card is the tracking of Australian players and their current Football club on a Google Map.

The last “round” Kentico project (at least for this moment) is One Just World website, aimed at involving the community in conversation on international development issues.

Effectively, Get Started have produced a website developed in Kentico every week for 3 years, which is simply amazing.

Guys, congratulations to such a nice number, great websites and excellent work you have so far and we are looking forward to hitting the 200 websites milestone next year!
