Default Alias Path
After migrating a site with the staging module, our site is not using the Default Alias Path setup. We did make a Site Codename change, but we can see all of our settings. The page we are trying to set as the Default Alias Path is also working properly, but when we navigate to the homepage, we are given a blank page (with the Master Design) instead of the page specified in the Default Alias Path setting.

Any ideas?

RE:Default Alias Path
Hello,

If I understood correctly, it sounds like you have the correct Default Alias Path under Site Manager > Settings > Content > Default alias path, is that correct? If so, perhaps the site-level settings are different. Could you please check both the Global and Site level settings by changing the dropdown value in the top left corner?

Best Regards,
Sandro

RE:Default Alias Path
Hi Dave,

Thank you for the confirmation. Are you running the latest hotfix for your version? If so, would it be possible to send us an e-mail to support@kentico.com with the access credentials so that we can review the settings and Event Log? I am unable to find any similar reports so it is likely an issue with the settings. If you are not running the latest hotfix it would be advisable to apply the latest version as there was a bug in caching that could be causing this.

Best Regards,
Sandro Jankovic

RE:Default Alias Path
Gotcha, I'll relay this to the my client and see if they want to go ahead with it. Do you know which version(s) the bug was present in?

RE:Default Alias Path
Hello,

It was fixed in v6.0.19 so it was likely present in all earlier version 6.0.0 to 6.0.18. There were also other bugs with caching so it possible, it would be best to apply the latest version.

Regards,
Sandro

RE:Default Alias Path
I found out the client was using a mismatched version of the Site DLLs vs the database used, so this may be the issue.
