Unable to Save page content
Hi all,
I put some content in the editable region and clicked on save button (within the page tab) but unfortunately nothing happens. As a result i am unable to save the page content.

Kindly give some guideline to resolve this issue.

Thanks in advance. :)

RE:Unable to Save page content
Hello.

Could you provide more details and clarify the following?

1. What development model do you use?
2. What browsers (and platforms) you can see this problem in?
3. Is any message about this problem logged in your Event log?
4. Does given page template contain any custom code, especially JavaScript?
5. Can you reproduce the problem on some Kentico page template e.g. those used on the Corporate site?

Thank you in advance for clarification.

Best Regards,
Radek Macalik

RE:Unable to Save page content
Hi Radek Macalik,

I created a Masterpage and 4 sub pages including home page. These pages are created using Portal engine development model in Kentico 7. I put some custom code including Javascript on Masterpage and sub pages as well. In the previous stage of development, it was working fine. But from last week, i am facing this issue.

As i clicked on save button, nothings happens and the added/ updated content are not saved. But when i tried to move from the edited page (page having some edited text which is not saved) to other page, it prompts a messagebox having "You have modified the content. If you leave the page without saving the changes will be lost. Click OK to leave the page without saving the changes."

I tried on IE 8/9, Mozilla FF 19 and Chrome Ver. 25 and having same issue. I checked Event log but didn't find any error log. Yes, the page contains Javascript code. I found same issues on all the pages (including Home page and sub-pages as well).

Thanks :)

RE:Unable to Save page content
Hello.

Could you please try to disable all your custom javaScript code and try it without it? This could help us isolating the problem. Thank you.

RE:Unable to Save page content
Hi,

I am using v7.0.34 of Kentico in a cloud hosted environment with no problems. Yes, I turned my site live (i.e. changed the Site URL in site manager). Since then, I can not save any changes to site through CMS desk.

my site is using Corporate site template and there is not Javascript. I has simple HTML text areas.

Please help.

RE:Unable to Save page content
Hello,

The issue is somewhere on your master page. If you disable inheritance, you will be able to save your changes. If you are not including any custom JS, have you made changes to the default jQuery? I can see that there is jQuery being rendered on the page.

Best Regards,
Sandro
