Upgrading from 6 to 7
After upgrading from Kentico 6 to 7 version some images' logos are not displayed on cmsdesk (in the content tree). But when viewing them on 'Form' tab everything is good. Could you please help me with that. Please look at attachments.

Hello,

Did you upgrade from an earlier version > 6 > 7 or just from 6 > 7?

Also, how are you loading the images that are not rendering? Which Web part and how does the transformation look?

There are a few possible solutions here and here.

Have you tried clearing the server cache as well? If the issue persists and is occurring for multiple images, you can try applying the latest hotfix to rule out any possibility of a bug causing the issue.

Upgrade was performed from Kentico v5 to Kentico v7.

The problem actually is that thumbnails for images in .jpg and .bmp formats are not displayed content tree. 'No image' thumbnails is displayed instead.

Are there any solutions for this issue?

Hello,

Thank you for the additional clarification. If the missing icons are the only issue, I would check if the image files are missing from: ~\App_Themes\Default\Images\DocumentTypeIcons

If that happens to be the case, please let us know and we can provide the default icons, or you can install another instance and copy those files.

All files are in this folder. So maybe there are any other solutions for this issues.

Did you use KIM or the Manual upgrade? Did you get any errors during the upgrade? Are there any errors now in CMS Site Manager > Administration > Event Log? Please try restarting the app pool if you already haven't. Have you applied any hotfixes after upgrading?

The strange thing is that the images load for some files, but not for others, which leads me to believe something went wrong during the upgrade. Please let me know if you find anything in the Event Log after viewing one of the broken images.

We performed manual upgrade. After viewing those images there are no any issues in Event Log. Yes we faced with issues during upgrade from v5.5 to 5.5 R2.

Hello,

Version 7.0 introduced an Images.zip folder which includes all default Kentico images. Please check the ~\App_Themes\Default\Images\Images.zip\FileIcons\List location for your missing image files. You can either install a new corporate site and copy over these files, or send an email to support@kentico.com, reference this post, and we can send over the missing files.
