UI Profile issue
After upgrading to 7.0, we experienced an issue where we were getting the "Your UI profile is not authorized" messages and had to run a couple of scripts and/or reinstall the UI module to correct it so that global admins could set up content staging.

It seems to have worked perfectly b/c anyone that is listed as a global admin is able to do whatever they need to do but users that are only granted CMS Desk Administrators are still experiencing the issue.

Is this a known issue that upgrading to the latest hotfix might address?

RE:UI Profile issue
Hello,

could you please look into the Site manager -> Administration -> UI Personalization section and verify that you have the right sections enabled for the right roles? It seems that the user doesnt have the required permissions for some sections. Also make sure that all roles the particular user have need to have the setting in UI personalization set.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

Best regards,
Richard Sustek

RE:UI Profile issue
Hi Richard,

Thanks for the reply. Within the UI Personalization section, the CMS Desk Administrators role is set to have all available options provided for them with one vital exception, under the "Staging" module, there are no options available to choose as seen in the screen cap below.

RE:UI Profile issue
Hi Charles,

I can say that definitely something wrong (related to UI Personalization) has happened to you after upgrade. Would it be possible for you to make a backup of your site and install a clean instance of Kentico 7 and import the site? I believe this may solve this issue as the upgrading procedure has not been entirely successful.

Also I would like to ask where are you getting the "Your UI profile is not authorized" errors? Is it right after the user login? Or some particular sections?

Best regards,
Richard Sustek
