applying a new template to a website
Hi
I'm new to Kentico
I need to apply a new design to an existing website.
I want to buy a template
How easy is it to apply a design once I have the HTML / CSS?
Do I need to buy a template that's been especially made for Kentico or will a generic HTML / CSS template be ok?
thanks
Tim

RE:applying a new template to a website
Hi,

Thank you for your message.

Kentico is basically using standart HTML/CSS for displaying site as any other system. You you can use your existing code and implement it into Kentico easily. You can setup the CSS and then page layouts/templates.

I would suggest you to go through our tutorial at -> http://devnet.kentico.com/docs/tutorial/page_templates.htm

Kind regards,
Richard Sustek

RE:applying a new template to a website
Hi Richard
thanks
can I have 2 completely different look and feels within 1 website?
or do I need to create 2 different websites?

The link for page templates shows 2 pages with the same header.
I want a totally different header and footer

thanks

RE:applying a new template to a website
Hi Tim,

Yes this is possible with using the visual inheritance. You can easily set which page will inherit from another etc. You can find more information about this along with some example at the following page -> http://devnet.kentico.com/docs/devguide/index.html?visual_inheritance.htm

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Kind regards,
Richard Sustek
