Lucene.Net replacement????????
Hi!

I wonder if there's anybody who has, or is working on, a replacement for Lucene.Net such as Solr or ElasticSearch? IMHO, I think that the Lucene.Net implementation in Kentico is seriously limited as it, currently, doesn't support technologies such as Tika/IFilter thus making it possible to index, say, Office documents in the content tree. The SQLServer full-text index is very limited in a number of ways so an integration with a full-blown search technology able to digest more "complex" document formats would be great! A number of other CMS:es have done this successfully so...

RE:Lucene.Net replacement????????
Dear Peter,

we are not planning on changing this technology any time soon. There will be new version of Lucene.Net used in future versions though.

If you are missing some functionality, please feel free to send us a requirement to support@kentico.com, so we may put it into consideration for future versions.

Regards,

David
