A page was created and modifed to be ad-hoc in our development area. Some changes were made to the page i.e. the type of web part used. The same site exists in our UAT area. Rather than having to create the page, make it ad-hoc and reset up all the webparts, I thought I would just export it from dev and import it to UAT.

Once imported, I moved the ad-hoc template from the Ad-hoc category in Site Manager > Development > Page templates to the category that was created to hold the sites templates i.e. client_name_category > Public templates > Ad-hoc: page.

However when I go to the page that uses old ad-hoc template (Properties > Template) and click the "Select" button the ad-hoc page does not appear in client_name_category > Public templates it does not appear. Is there anyway to get this template to appear so the web parts don't have to be set up?
