Member	AnthonyG - 1/30/2014 8:22:12 AM Sync css in themes My master page has a theme that stores all of the CSS, Images and scripts for the theme. When I make a change to the CSS in the theme, is there anyway of a syncronisation task being created so I can stage it to our production server.

Hello Anthony,

As first could you please tell me where exactly is this CSS file stored? Is it stored in the file system or are you using the Site Manager -> Development -> CSS Stylesheets?

Because sync of physical files is not supported yet: What can be synchronized

The only place would be to place the files into the content tree or as a document attachments or as a media library files (however, changes made directly to the physical file are not logged as a content staging task).

Maybe, you should use some other tool which keeps the physical folders in sync - something like DropBox.

Site Manager > Development > Page Templates > Master Page > Theme > CSS

All of the Media files for this master page are kept here. When we make any changes to these files, it doesn't create a synchronisation task and we cannot sync them up to our production servers as we have done previously.

We have tried placing the files in the media library, However, when we try and synchronise the files, it doesn't create them on the production server.

Is there a setting with the sync server that is preventing us from moving these files up?

Member	AnthonyG - 2/3/2014 3:40:00 AM RE:Sync css in themes We have never needed to do this before. All of the stylesheets we have have always been edited and synced via the themes folder. Is this functionality that has been removed with the hot fix?

Hi Anthony,

I will discuss this with the dev team responsible for staging module but before doing that, could you please provide me with all the details, where exactly are these files stored on and how are they edited.

But as I have said before, only files stored in the Media library or edited using the UI (CMS Desk or Site Manager) are synced, as far as I know the files stored directly on the file system were never synced using the staging module.
