Screen Lock
HI,

I have two questions about the screen lock functionality in Kentico 7

The first is whether anyone has experienced any issues with the screen lock. For me, when the screen is locked ,it will not allow the screen to be unlocked by entering the correct password. It gives the error "Incorrect password". I suspect this may be to do with mixed-mode authentication. Has anyone else experienced this?

My second question is whether this screen lock can be used on the front-end website, and not just the CMS Desk. If so, how would I go about doing this?

Thanks

RE:Screen Lock
Hi,

1. Regrettably, there was a bug. Please, download and apply the latest hotfix.

2. On the live site you can use a custom javascript that will check the time and then log out the user. Right now, there is no functionality for this to be used on the live site.

Best regards,
Juraj Ondrus

RE:Screen Lock
I'm wondering if there is a JS code sample around, to perform the lock screen functionality into the front-end of the website for logged users.

Any sample?

thanks in advance

RE:Screen Lock
Hi,

Thank you for your message.

Unfortunately we do not have such examples. In this case the best solution would be to use some screen blocking plugion for jQuery where you could accomplish what you need.

I recommend using e.g. this one: http://malsup.com/jquery/block/#page There are many examples with code in which you can inspire.

Kind regards,
Richard Sustek
