AD import failed
Hi,

I tried to run the AD Import tool using a specified profile (XML) which I have saved earlier but it gave a "Specified import profile is not valid" error.

I managed to import using a new profile. I want to put this as scheduled task so that it can run in the background without having to go thru the steps. But each time when I tried to use the saved import profile it gives me that error.

Any idea?

Regards,
Halim

RE:AD import failed
Hello Halim,

Could you please confirm that you were using the same version of Kentico/AD Import toolkit during export and the import of profile?
Also please.. try to upgrade the AD Import toolkit as the part of the setup files as first:
How to hotfix setup files.

Best regards,
Martin Danko

RE:AD import failed
I've been having the same problem and I've recently updated to hotfix 7.0.57. I'm sure I selected update setup files and overwrite. The version of ADImport.exe is 7.0.5032.7543.
I'm wondering if this is the latest version and if so, why is this problem persistent?

RE:AD import failed
Hi Martin,

I have updated the version of Kentico/AD Import Toolkit with the latest hotfix (7.0.57) but when I tried to run the AD import using a saved profile (previously saved from the same hotfix version - 7.0.57) it still gave me the "Specified import profile is not valid" error.

Please see the below screenshot:

So, any clue?

Halim

RE:AD import failed
Hi,

It is strange. There is also a third customer having this issue. He sent us the XML file and we are able to use it just fine. The file has valid XML content and we are not getting this error as shown in the picture above.
Would it be possible to send us your profile files to support@kentico.com?
I am also using the same version of the AD import tool as you do.

Hi Juraj,

I have emailed the XML profile used to support@kentico.com. Hopefully you guys can figure out what's going on.

Thanks.

RE:AD import failed
Hello,

Update on this issue - it was most probably caused by incorrect shortcut proeprties. E.g. when you used the Start -> All programs etc. to launch the AD import tool.

When you execute the tool exe file directly from c:\Program Files (x86)\KenticoCMS\7.0\Bin\ (default installation path) it works fine.

We are sorry for this inconvenience.
