ArchiveDoc task does not show in Staging
We use a development server then push to a Beta server to do QA prior to pushing to our Production server.

My issue is that when we Archive documents on Dev and I synch the task to the Beta server the ArchiveDoc task does not show on Beta in Staging.

I have to go to the document, check it out and archive it before it will show in Staging as an Archive Doc task.

Then I am able to synch it to the Production Server.

I have searched the forums, documentation and cannot locate any information pertaining to what would cause the task to not appear in staging on the beta server.

In your client server do you have the "Log staging changes" option checked in Site Manager>Settings>Versioning & Synchronization>Staging? According to the help documentation:
If enabled, synchronization tasks are created for changes made by synchronization from another server to this server

So it it's not checked then it won't record the changes caused by a sync.

I went back to double check my settings based on your answer and they were set correctly...which is why this is so perplexing. The only thing we don't log to staging is data changes because we don't do custom tables.

Could there be a setting in the web.config file or other config file that is over-riding the ui setting?

Or should I need to submit a support ticket?

Did you check your site specific settings as well? Simply choose your site in the top left corner vs. the default, global.

Hello,

I am not sure if you are able to apply the hotfix to your current sites, but this issue could be a result of a bug where staging tasks weren't carried over correctly in multi-server staging scenarios (development -> testing -> production). There were also some bugs that were resolved around using workflow with content staging. Could you please try to apply the latest Cumulative hotfix 7.0.70 (released on 01/10/2014) to all your environments?
