Select only published option in repeater is not producing expected results

Hello,

I am working with the Intranet Template site and on the /News Page there is a repeater called "NewsList". In the properties of that web part the "Select only published option" is selected, however the repeater is listing all of the news items regardless of their state. I have some in Archive, others in Approver and more in Published. But it doesn't seem to matter, the repeater lists all of the news items anyway.

Any help trying to get only the published items listed would be great. I know I could use a custom 'WHERE' clause but I figured if the checkbox for Select only published is checked, that it would retrieve only the published items. But maybe I am missing something.


Member	erik - 3/12/2013 11:51:44 AM RE:Select only published option in repeater is not producing expected results OK, so nevermind, I found out I was logged in as the administrator which sees all news items regardless of state. Logging in as a standard user resulted in the desired filtering and the NewsList repeater only grabbed the published items. Problem sovled.

Hi Erik,

Thank you for the feedback, we didn't even have time to respond your message.

The Administrator - In Kentico Global Administrator is a special user which has permissions everywhere across the site and cant be denied access even if says so. You could say that he sees and has control of everything.
