Unipager not appearing on page when using Smart Search Results.

Hi guys

I am using the smart search results webpart and wanted to connect a unipager to it.

It seems that once I connect the unipager to the smart search results (by assigning the search results webpart ID to the target control field of the unipager), the page appears to work just fine - the page size works correctly with the number I put in the unipager, I can go to page=3 and it shows the correct results. But the actual Unipager does not appear on the page. It's not in the HTML source code even though it seems to work like it is on the page. I can even put in content in the "Content Before" field and it seems to appear on the page.

I went and did a fresh install of 7.0.24 using the Corporate site template and tried adding it to the "/Special-Pages/Search" page and had the same problem. I compared my settings to that in the "/Examples/Listings-and-Viewers/Universal-Pager" page and they seem to be the same.

Is there a step I'm missing? Can anyone else replicate this?

Hi,

Smart search results web part has a pager assigned to it by default which is of type DataPager so there is no need to add Unipager to set the pager and its size. You can configure it in your Smart search results ->Page size property.

I would like to use the unipager because I need to wrap some Before and After content that isn't available in the Smart Search Results webpart (I can only use the Before and After for the whole webpart, not just the pager).

According to this blog post by Jakub Oczko Kentico 7 should be able to support it.

Hi, Regrettably, using UniPager with Smart search results web part seems to be a bug in Kentico CMS 7. I'm very sorry for this inconvenience.
