Blog Post archive for multiple blogs
I have a blog post archive web part where i want to display the count per month of multiple blogs. Right now, it will display, for example, May 2013(0), 5 times since i have different blogs. Is there a way to have it only display each month once with a count of all the blog posts from each blog?

Hello,

Could you confirm that you would like to merge duplicate months for different blogs into one (the ones that are marked in the screenshot)?

If so, how exactly would you want them to be linked since each month represents a link for a particular blog and after clicking it, you are redirected to blog posts which are created under the selected blog. You wouldn't be able to click on the month because there is no particular page which could be displayed then.

RE:Blog Post archive for multiple blogs
Thanks for the response. It seems that this web part is not what im looking for. If i click on a month, i want to see all blog posts from that month, starting with the most recent, from all blogs. Since thats the case, i think i will have to go with a custom web part.

RE:Blog Post archive for multiple blogs
Hello,

Custom web part will be the best way to achieve this functionality since Post archive web part is designed only to show blogs with direct links to them. However, you can take inspiration from the source code of current Post archive web part because I suppose there will not be that much customization needed - the file is in ~/CMSWebParts/Blogs/PostArchive.ascx.cs.
