The field now appear on the registration form, the custom fields tab for the user, and also on the form for the My Account web part. However, this doesn't show the saved value. How can I set the saved value to show on these forms? Thanks

Hi,

I have just tried to add a new field to the User system table with drop-down list form control but it is working fine for me with the latest hotfix, i.e. the default value in My account web part is the saved value of the drop-down list field for a current user.

Could you apply the latest hotfix (7.0.38) and see if it resolves the issue?

There is a very good chance the data was cached. In your web part displaying the data, ensure you have a 0 in the caching section so the data is not cached.


Member	Rich - 6/3/2013 8:46:54 AM RE:Populating custom fields Thanks FroggEye, but the issue didn't seem to be web part specific, it was system-wide as when viewing Administration > Users > user >Custom Fields, the field wasn't being populated there either.
