switch domain name
Hi,

Do you know if it is possible / difficult to switch the current Kentico intranet's domain name to a new one?

Thanks!

Edwin

RE:switch domain name
Hi Edwin,

If you to site manager and click on the sites tab. Edit the site and change the domain that should work? Assuming you have the DNS / Iis binding set up.

Thanks,

Matt

RE:switch domain name
So to confirm, for Kentico side, all the content ( assuming no hard-code URL ), customizations, web parts.. etc, will work once I change the domain name in the site manager?

DNS is easy, I can just add the new entry.

IIS binding, does it mean I will need to manually create a new IIS site and bind it to the new host name? Not sure about this part...

Thanks again for your suggestions.

Regards,

Edwin

RE:switch domain name
Yeah generally your URLs should be running relatively anyway ( /blah.aspx ) but yeah any of the features that rely on a URL (newsletters/macros etc) will draw from here.

Iis binding you need to edit the current site bindings and add in the new URL (default port 80).

Any problems let me know,

Matt
