Page Template Theme Permissions
When I created a new page template and clicked on the Theme tab I got a permissions error for the following directory: ~/App_Themes/Components/PageTemplates/[Name of new template]. I checked that Network Service had the appropriate permissions and then noticed a folder with the name of the template did not exist in that directory. I manually created it and that solved the problem. However, it doesn't seem like I should have to do that. Is this an indication that something else is wrong?

RE:Page Template Theme Permissions
Hello,

I suppose it should not be that big of a problem if it only happened once. Nevertheless, these folders should be created automatically when you click Theme tab of a certain page template. Have you encountered this problem more than once, e.g. when you access this tab from a different template?

Best regards,
Filip Ligac

RE:Page Template Theme Permissions
I solved this by resetting the permissions on the web site folder so that the Kentico IIS AppPool user had modify permissions. I tested it again with a new template and the folder was created.

RE:Page Template Theme Permissions
Hello,

Thank you for the update. It is great that you found the cause of the issue on your own!

Sometimes these "magical errors" occur and often all you need to do is restart application pool or application itself in Site Manager -> Administration -> System.

Best regards,
