Cms Repeater with document permission
Hi Juraj Ondrus ,

I am using kentico default repeater to show the latest updated documents. I have selected all document types (eg. article, page, etc.) which i want to show in a repeater as a list. I also want to show the list content based on the visitor's role and permissions so I would like to enable check permissions check box in repeater properties.

So now i except the records which are allowed to a user will show according to his/her role permission. I have created a role member and assigned member role to two documents A and B.

The result is not coming as i expect. When i login with member role, the latest updated document should come in the list from any document type which i have selected ordered by modified date in reverse chronological order. But i am getting only records from first document type which is selected in the list. e.g. if I select articles and page then I see only documents of the type article only. If I select page first then I see only page type documents in the list. Document of the other types are not shown at all.

Please suggest where we need to modify in the settings if any change is required?

Thanks

RE:Cms Repeater with document permission
Hi,

Well I am not Juraj, but I will do my best to help you :)

I will try to summarize your problem, on a page you have repater which should show for role member, only some of document types (ordered by modifiedwhen DESC), ie. news, articles. But if you set read permission for both of these document types. It will show only one of them, am I correct?

What exactly are the permissions for role member? If you go to to CMSDesk -> Administration -> Permissions, Permissions for: Module - Content. Do you have checked Read permission for your role? Also if you go to CMSDesk -> Administration -> Permissions, Permissions for: Document type, <document type, you want to show>, ie. Article. Do you have checked Read permission? In what roles user is? Only member role?

Also if you could provide me screenshots, of how your permissions are set, that could be useful.

Best Regards,
Roman Konicek

RE:Cms Repeater with document permission
Hi Roman Konicek,

I have a page which is showing latest updates . I am using default repeater control to show the latest updated document and i have set the permission on the page-> properties->security for the member role. Earlier it was working fine but after installation of hotfix version 42 i am facing the issue mentioned in last post. I have checked it by installing the hotfix version from 39 to 45. I have tested it by installing one-by-one hotfix version and i have found that it is the side effect of the hotfix version 42. I have installed latest hotfix 51 but issue is not resolved.

Could you please suggest me.

Best Regards

RE:Cms Repeater with document permission
Hello,

Thank you for the additional clarification. Would it be possible to enable the security debug and show us the results? The debug should show which of the permissions is preventing the document from loading.
