Tracking of outbound links
Hi,
I have a question to the community. Did anyone tried to implement outbound link tracking in Kentico CMS?. I would like to be able to track when some one clicks on a outbound link (redirecting to another site like for example a facebook profile). I would like to be able to track this as an custom web analytics event and also as a conversion. I made some workaround by creating a custom page which read from the querystring the target url and conversion code name and logs this conversion and redirects a user. However every link that I wont to track needs to have its href changed to something like /redirect?conversion=SampleConversion&url=http://www.google.com/ That's very cumbersome. I was wondering if somebody has tried to implement this in a different way. I was thinking about building something that user could invoke from the CKEditor when editing a link with input fields that a user could conveniently edit, but I don't have any experience with modifying the built in CKEditor in Kentico.
