Resource strings in portal templates
Hi,

http://devnet.kentico.com/docs/devguide/index.html?types_of_macros.htm

Under 'Localization macros' / 'Basic' how do I use {$string.key$} to show a value from the UI Cultures? What does string mean?

Cheers
Paul

RE:Resource strings in portal templates
Hi Paul,

Thank you for your message.

As you can read at the top of the forums page: "Please note: The forums are currently intended for Kentico community. Although we monitor them time to time, we cannot guarantee a timely response."
With maintenence you get all updates on Kentico software each week along with newer versions and unlimited support tickets which we usually answer within 24 hours.

To your question - The recourse strings are located in Site manager -> Development -> UI Cultures. The "String" is referred to the "Key" of the resource string as is used to identify the string you want to show up. Resource strings are used to have a multi-language version of your site and to translate text to different cultures.

Kind regards,
Richard Sustek

Where do you want to use this macro? Transformation? API? Webpart property?
