Hello Edwin,

As you can see also in the Dev Guide, .e.g Step 9: Using the AD Import Wizard, this utility doesn't support any conditional roles associations yet.

What you can do is e.g. to create a Global Event which will be fired when the New User is created (OnBeforeSave, OnAfterSave event.) and then change the role according on the Department or whatever you want.

What I've done in the past is the simple user import and then created a query to get all the roles a person belongs to and use the standard import toolkit utility to import that relationship. Seems to work pretty good, just a bit more work on our end to get it to function as expected.
