Document Upload and Insert Issues
In the page editor, using the Insert File link, I'm able to browse my computer and upload a file, but then I have no option to insert it into the body of the page or post I'm editing.

I know there should be, but it just doesn't seem to work on my installation.

Help!

RE:Document Upload and Insert Issues
Hello,

Could you please describe it in more details? May I ask you where and how exactly do you upload files and how do you try to insert it on a page/post? (also some screenshots would be great)

Best regards,
Jan Hermann

RE:Document Upload and Insert Issues
Sure. And thank you.

I upload using the "Insert/Edit image or media" icon in the edit page screen seen here:

The files upload just fine as you can see by the pdf in the list in the screenshot below. However, I'm unable to select it to then insert it into the page. The image that is also in the list is selectable and can be inserted. So it appears this only happens with non-image files.

Once uploaded, it shows as an attachment to the page, but there is still no option to insert it into the content of the page.

Let me know if you need any more information. I'm very new to Kentico, so it's possible I'm totally missing something simple.

Best,
Jaime

RE:Document Upload and Insert Issues
Hello,

Oh I see, you have probably set the Editable region type property of that editable text web part to the Text area value, so please change it to the HTML editor one to be able to add images into this editable text web part.

Best regards,
Jan Hermann

RE:Document Upload and Insert Issues
Actually, I'm able to insert images just fine.

I'm not able to insert a link to view/download an attached file (pdf, xls, doc, etc.)

RE:Document Upload and Insert Issues
Hello,

It is possible to display just some file types through the Insert image or media button (image, flash, video). If you want to insert a link to view/download other file types like pdfs, docs etc., please use the Insert/Edit link button for it:
