6.0 to 6.0.3 Hotfix error
While using the new hotfix tool to upgrade a 6.0 install to 6.0.3, I got this error:

e:\websites\kentico6\App_Data\Install\SQL\Hotfix_60_3.sql
Running SQL script (Hotfix_60_3.sql)
SQL script applied.
Invalid URI: The format of the URI could not be determined.

Any idea what causes this?

Luckily this is just a test install. No production sites.

RE:6.0 to 6.0.3 Hotfix error
Hello,

The problem could be that the update calls the URL of the site, which is the URL of the site defined in KIM. That input is not checked for correctness (e.g. missing protocol etc.).

Could you therefore please check the entered URL of your website?

Best Regards,
Edward Hillard

Hi,

Yes, it should be the whole URL as you wrote, with the HTTP protocol.

RE:6.0 to 6.0.3 Hotfix error
Hi -

I get the same error...

What URL should we be using in the Installation Manager if we are using the builtin VS 2010 IIS to host the project? Localhost won't work as the ports constantly change.

RE:6.0 to 6.0.3 Hotfix error
Hi,

You need to use the URL to your web site - under which you are accessing it in the browser including HTTP protocol (so, even the VS server runs the site under some URL...). Moreover, please use the latest hotfix and in one of the steps switch to the advanced mode and select to update the setup files too - it will fix the installation manager and setup files too.

We are sorry for this inconvenience.

Best regards,
Juraj Ondrus
