Thanks for providing me more information, now I can see what you want to achieve.

You can try to use the following way: you will still have on your page MediaFileUploader webpart and upload these files in the same way as before. Then go to CMS Desk -> Tools -> Media -> <media where you upload files>. There create a sub folder called for example "Confirmed", and as an administrator you can go there see what images were uploaded and if you want them on the site you will move them to the sub folder "Confirmed".

Also you have to do the modfication in Media Gallery web part, specifically you should set property "path" to "/confirmed/".

Do you think that this is the acceptable solution for you? If not I will try to find some other way.
