Page title origins
New to Kentico but not to CMS systems. I have been playing around with the order and setup of CSS and page templates. One detail of inheritance has escaped me. When does the title come from initially?

I created a new site using the blank site template. I then created my own master and page templates for the site. On the master template I added my specific page title text that I want on every page of the site. That works fine, except that the text was appended to (I guess) the base template title text which is "My Site" So now all my pages get a title of "My Site Mytext"

I cannot find where to change the very base HTML or ASCX page template to get rid of the initial text. I searched all files in the site folder and found a few .aspx pages that contained "My Site" . I changed the title to something else and looked at the page. No change. I recycled the app pool and restarted the web server. no change.

So can anyone help me understand how and where I can change the initial title text.

RE:Page title origins
BTW.. I found a checkbox that turns on/off the inheritance of the title on page metadata. This after unchecking the box, still has no effect on the displayed page title.

RE:Page title origins
Hi,

Please go to the Site Manager -> Settings -> select your site from the drop down list to set this only for this particular site -> Content section and there you can see the two boxes for setting the prefix and the page title.

Best regards,
