Very new to Kentico and CMS in general
Hi All,

I apologize if there are other threads but I did a search and couldn't find out any or any good place to put this.

I am very new to Kentico and CMS in general. I have installed Kentico and have played around with it (as well as the Kentico Desktop). I think the piece I am missing is the connection between development in Visual Studio and Kentico Desktop.

How would I create new aspx pages or make any changes in general in visual studio and have it reflect in the Kentico website? I havent been able to find any good articles explaining this yet. Seems as if Kentico Desktop is more administrative by adding images, ect but it wont let me add fully developed aspx pages I have created.

Any insight or articles that would help would be greatful!

Thanks,

Tony

Hi Tony,

I sugess reading the Developer's guide.

You can also find the Kentico CMS Tutorial (ASPX templates).

Hi,

Yes, the Developer's guide is something like "the bible" for a Kentico developer. Regarding your question, the documentation about ASPX page template development model is here and you should also read the ASPX tutorial to have a complete picture.
