Appending PDFs with Data

Hi,

Has anyone had experience with creating/appending PDFs on the server from information in the CMS?

I have PDF documents as attachments, I'm exploring options to append them with personalized client data as they are accessed by authenticated site users, so each user gets a personalized copy. This would mean taking an original PDF, appending a page to it and saving the new document into the system. I would image that third-party tools are available.

I should stress that it is very much related to Kentico, all data requiring to be packaged as PDFs is coming straight from Kentico, and the resulting PDFs are products within the eCommerce module. So any third party tools would need to play nice with Kentico as well. Thanks again.

Hi,

there is no such a module available in Kentico. It is up to you which third party tool you will use or whether you will develop e.g. a custom module to achieve your need. We do not have any exact experience with software like that but, Kentico CMS is standard ASP.Net web project/application so any tool for ASP.Net should be OK.
