Search Index and Results
Hi,
Im using an index with the "Standard" Analyzer type, searching in the "Search Preview" yields no result. But when im using the Luke (lucene) tool on the index it does return a result.

Any possible reason why this search would not return any results?

Hi Raymond,

Could you confirm you have created your smart search index according to Developer's Guide - Creating an index?

If so, have you tried rebuilding it? You could also check if there any items already indexed - you can see it under Number of indexed items property in General tab of your index. If there is a number other than 0 listed there, it should be working with search preview function.

Hi Filip,

The steps mentioned above have been followed.
Here is a summary of the index:

Number of indexed items: 96
Index file size: 839 kB
Index status: Ready
Index is optimized: Yes

I've both used the "Standard" and "Subset" and the Search Preview function still doesn't show any results.

Hello Raymond,

Could you please provide us with a complete settings of your Smart Search index? Especially the Index tab on the Edit page of Smart Search?

May you find below the settings:
General
Index Type: Documents
Analyzer Type: Standard
Stop Words:(Default)
Batch Size:10

Index
Document Types : All
Path : /%
Index type: Allowed

just to be sure... you are not running your instance of Kentico on Azure, right? Which .net version and application pool mode are you using?

Hi Martin,

No we're not using Azure but SQL Server 2008r2, .Net 4.0 and AppPool Classic (.Net 4.0).

Hi Raymond,

Ok, I will need to check your index files. Could you please navigate to your index folder, e.g. Default index for corporate site is stored in: \App_Data\CMSModules\SmartSearch\CorporateSite.Default, compress your index folder (zip) and upload it via the following page: ulozto.net/upload after that please send me the link, so I can test your index search functionality.

Ok, so I have checked your index GhanaTradeNetMember and it should find something for the word "support", and the same applies to the second index, could you please check it?
