User Role Change Upon Product Purchase?
Hi all,

I have a odd requirement that i'm sure Kentico CMS (or EMS) is able to perform but just not entirely sure the best way of going about it. Essentially I want to have some sort of purchase (donate page) that upon completion of the transaction automatically updates the user's role.

I'm assuming i'd have to hook into some sort of transaction event call and then use the users API for modifying the currently logged in user?

Hi,

The membership product won't meet your needs?

This product has exactly the behavior you have described - the role of user is changed after the purchase.

Hi Juraj,

I think a combination of the membership product type and some custom functionality probably will suffice the behaviour I am attempting to create. I'll have a go when I have a spare moment and post again if I need further assistance.
