Hi,

Could you please check out our Developer's guide documentation where the GEO mapping feature is described and also explained how to use it?

You can find the topic here.

Best regards,

RE:How to add a pushpin in Google Map
Hi,

I am VERY new to Kentico and just recently I have to setup Google Map on one Kentico driven web site. There are 70 pages where Map needs to be placed. The problem is that this CMS (web site) was set up by somebody else.

Now, when I place the web part in one of the pages, it begin to show on all 75. I want map to appear on 70 pages only. It is repeating on rest of the 5 pages as well. Is this because of template structure.

Lastly, do I have to follow the same procedure described in Dev Guide for ver 5.5.

My Kentico version is v5.5.4237 R2.

Please help with some guidance.

thanks
Waqas

RE:How to add a pushpin in Google Map
Hello,

If the given pages use the same page template, then this behavior is by design. You need to create the remaining 5 pages as ad-hoc pages. For more information on this topic please check this article.

RE:How to add a pushpin in Google Map
Thanks boris.

I have figured out some how to make the map appear on selected pages.

Now the problem is that for each document, I have added CMS.Office and set the Lat, Lng + office address fields.

Now when I set the web part (google map) it doesn't show the marker on OfficeLatitude and OfficeLongitude.

I have been following this tutorial: http://devnet.kentico.com/docs/5_5R2/devguide/index.html?example_displaying_offices_on_the_map.htm

Here is my web site page where I am able to place the map. (http://www.toplock.net.au/Abbotsford-locksmith.aspx)
You see the default marker is on Melbourne. However, I have mentioned specific Lat,Lng as well as Tooltip as exactly the tutorial says.

It doesn't work.

please help, I am having my head blowing off fighting with this whole day :(

thanks

RE:How to add a pushpin in Google Map
Hello,

I've checked the given page and it seems you've figured out how to do this. Could you please post the solution if an another user has the same issue as you? I assume, the Latitude or Longitude field wasn't specified on the map web part correctly?

Best regards,
